Christina Roberts is a versatile mezzo-soprano vocal artist fluent in various musical styles, from Gregorian Chant to Contemporary Classical, with her main focus on traditional liturgical music. Christina’s voice has been described as “flutelike,” and “ethereal,” “like a shaft of moonlight” (Eve Tushnet for Patheos).

She has worked as a Catholic Cantor for churches throughout the Boston and Baltimore areas for several years, prioritizing community music-making and traditional hymnody, as well as choral and polyphonic repertoire. Her secular repertoire includes classical art song, oratorio, and eclectic musical theater. She seeks to engage congregations and audiences in the beauty of music, ancient and new. She also seeks to use her expertise in Gregorian chant to revive the tradition in Catholic churches across the country.

Christina has been featured on multiple albums, including the self-titled “The Radiant Obscurity Collective” and “Evensong” by the Puzzled Laymen. She has also been a featured performer in the musical “MOGO: Moses Goes Out,” by Eli Roberts. She has worked extensively with composers Eli Roberts, Michael Enwright, Asa Spring, and Niklas Rodewald.

Christina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from the Boston University College of Fine Arts, where she studied under Professor Sharon Daniels and received recognition from the Kilachand Honors College where she completed a Keystone project in Ethnomusicology. She is currently pursuing her degree in Historical Performance from the Peabody Conservatory under Professor Carl Dupont.

She currently resides with her husband and two children in the Baltimore area, where she is available for booking for sacred and secular projects.
